As an independent research institute aiming for public awareness of demography, the idf hosts various Symposiums and conventions. They address not only a selected list of experts but everyone interested in these issues and discussion rounds.

On 5 March 2010 the awarding of the 2nd Demography Prize 2008/2009 took place in the context of a symposium held by the idf on the premises of the Federal Representation of Brandenburg in Berlin. You will find further information here .
